Literature Backrop

Following a degree in Fine Art, I have worked in the visual arts continually since 1980. A sense of colour, theatre and a fascination with textiles are strands that run through all my work.

I joined IOU Theatre in 1982 and worked with the company full time for 6 years: devising, designing, making and performing. I continue to work with IOU and also design sets, costumes and backdrops for a wide range of Visual Theatre companies.

In recent years my creative practice has developed to include large-scale installations, site-specific commissions for public buildings, interpretive exhibitions and specifically designed pieces of furniture.

Recent commissions include From Muck to Gold for Expo 2000 World Fair, Germany and two large-scale installations for The Royal Festival Hall, London.
